Private swimming pool and riverfrontage : two major water attractions
A diamond-shaped swimming pool built in the style of a roman bath
It occupies the centre of a former barn, which lost its roof one night in 1953 – neighbours still remember the horrendous noise. The barn has been turned into a walled garden adorned with a flowerbed of roses, climbing plants, box trees, geraniums, oleanders and yews.
It really is a pure oasis of happiness which traps the sun from morning to evening and offers the utmost privacy.
The pool measures 10mx6m with a single depth of 1,40m. It has a 40cm deep shallow area for children and a paved surround. It can also be heated (at extra charge).
At dusk, the walled garden and pool come alive. A series of up-lighters illuminate the stone walls and the flowerbed, whilst the underwater lights truly bring out the best of the blue water.
The union of magic and romance.
A stunning river frontage
There is private access to the river Côle which flows at the rear of the grounds.
The grassy bank is ideal to laze by and listen to the water, observe ducks, herons or moorhens, watch children swim or play in the river, try and catch trout, gudgeon, roach, pikes, perch (fishing permit highly recommended).
Security
In the pool area security is of primary concern. Facing the kitchen, the living room and the terrace, it is easy to keep an eye on the older children. As for younger children and toddlers, access from the terrace is totally fenced-off including a three-point-locking gate. Another lockable gate prevents access to the grounds and the river (ca 40m away). And lastly the pool is constructed above ground level, again preventing access by toddlers.
Table tennis – badminton – boules – piano

Outdoors you’ll enjoy a romantic riverside setting, a built-in stone BBQ, 2 terraces and the utmost privacy of a walled garden with a pool set in the style of a Roman bath; when lit at night, it becomes magical!
